11 January 2016 GT Recycling Initiatives New Zealand to commence recycling trial with Wellington Free Ambulance.

 

GT Recycling Initiatives NZ will be commencing their trial collections in Wellington, New Zealand in support of Wellington Free Ambulance in the upcoming weeks. Keep an eye out for their collection bags and please help play your part in this great appeal. If successful we hope to expand out from Wellington to other areas of New Zealand. 

                   

    

23 April 2012 Alert Over Fake Charity Bags Haul in Dover.
 

A seizure of 100,000 fake clothing collection bags at Dover has shown bogus charity collections are "booming", trading standards have said. The officers were alerted to the haul at the port earlier this month by the UK Borders. The bags bore the name of the charity Cancer Relief UK.

GT Recycling is proud to support the official launch event for the Polly Parrot Appeal, in aid of the Childrens Emergency Department at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Funds will be raised to build a separate Childrens A&E environment, that will serve as an inclusive and secure 'Edutainment and care facility' for children and young adults of all ages and groups, with dedicated special needs provision.

RMHC is an independent Charity which aims to provide free (home away from home) accommodation at hospitals across the UK, enabling families to stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life.

GT Recycling is proud to support the RMHC in the UK. It was established in 1989 as part of a network of chapters across 52 countries, which collectively provide over 6,000 bedrooms each night for the families of seriously ill children.

They are an independent charity that builds and runs (home away from home) accommodation for the families of seriously ill children. They currently provide over 400 bedrooms across 14 Houses and 29 sets of Family Rooms; all in, or in close proximity to, the grounds of UK hospitals and hospices. Families can stay free of charge and for as long as they need to; whether its for two nights or two years.

GT Recycling is proud to support Sue Ryder Care. Sue Ryder Care supports people with specialist palliative, end of life and long-term neurological care needs.

Each year they provide 4 million hours of care to people living with cancer, multiple sclerosis, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, stroke and brain injury.

15 October 2009 The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
 
GT Recycling is proud to support The Gurkha Welfare Trust. The aim of the Trust is to relieve poverty and distress amongst Gurkha veterans of the Crown and their dependents. This is achieved by raising funds for distribution in Nepal through the Trust's field arm, the Gurkha Welfare Scheme, and responding to welfare needs as they arise in the UK.

The Trust supports around 10,000 welfare pensioners in Nepal. Most are in their 80s and are totally reliant on the Trust for a dignified comfortable old age.

GT Recycling is proud to support Crossroads Care; North Bucks and MK Region. Crossroads Care support and deliver high quality services for carers and people with care needs.

The main service provided is domiciliary respite care. Trained, paid Carer Support Workers go into people's homes and take over caring duties, giving carers an essential break. This could be for as little as one hour a week, or 24 hours a day, depending on the carer's needs.

23 March 2009 Muster School Recycling Initiative Launched.
 
GT Recycling is proud to announce it has undertaken a project to raise the awareness of the importance of recycling in schools across the United Kingdom.

The project will provide financial support to participating schools to further develop and provide for our next generation.

The recycling initiative is called ¨Mobile Muster¨. In addition ¨Merlin¨ the ¨Mobile Magician¨ has been created as a mascot to deliver the importance of recycling in schools. ¨Merlin¨ the ¨Mobile Magician¨ is proving to be very popular amongst school children and teachers alike.
